Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nashik Zilla Parishad

As the CEO of Nashik Zilla Parishad, he spearheaded the Ganga Sagar Abhiyan, a comprehensive water conservation initiative focused on restoring water bodies, constructing storage tanks, and promoting rainwater harvesting. As District Collector in Chandrapur, Aurangabad, and Nashik, he implemented innovative solutions to local challenges, focusing on disaster management, rural development, and water conservation.

Chandrapur:

  • Led flood relief efforts (2005), managed the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve Rehabilitation Project, and conducted elections in Naxalite-affected areas.

Aurangabad:

  • Strengthened rural infrastructure, boosted agricultural productivity, and implemented employment guarantee schemes under NREGA.

Nashik:

  • Spearheaded Ganga Sagar Abhiyan, restored water bodies, and promoted agricultural reforms for better irrigation and cropping systems.

Municipal Commissioner, Nagpur Municipal Corporation

A notable achievement during his tenure as Municipal Commissioner of Nagpur Municipal Corporation was the execution of the 24x7 Water Supply Agreement and the commencement of its implementation. Initiatives such as Kanhan WSS augmentation, Pench WSS remodelling, Energy and Water Audits, Nagpur London Street conceptualization, and the Waste-to-Energy model for Bhandewadi STP, along with several other infrastructure projects, have significantly enhanced the city's development. This, coupled with a determined anti-encroachment drive, has transformed Nagpur into a more organized and livable city.

Divisional Commissioner, Department of Revenue, Aurangabad

During his tenure as Divisional Commissioner of Aurangabad, he oversaw the implementation of key infrastructure and development projects across eight districts of Marathwada, with a strong focus on drought mitigation and addressing water and fodder scarcity.

Key Initiatives & Achievements:

  • Led drought mitigation efforts and managed water & fodder scarcity across the region.
  • Facilitated the sanctioning of a Cancer Hospital in Aurangabad.
  • Ensured the completion of the Divisional Sports Complex.
  • Supervised the widening of roads at Chikalthana Airport and the Cantonment Area (Army).
  • Oversaw the completion of the Water Supply Schemes (WSS) for Jalna City & Osmanabad City.

As Municipal Commissioner of Thane for over five years, he led key initiatives in urban development, environmental conservation, smart city innovations, and social welfare.

Urban Development Projects:

  • Reclaimed 100 hectares of land, planned the widening of Pokhran Road and Station Road, developed metro connectivity, planned pod transit systems, and prepared the DPR for Inland Water Transport (IWT).

Environmental Initiatives:

  • Planted 5 lakh trees, developed Miyawaki Urban Forests, and revived Jogila Lake.

Smart City Innovations:

  • Launched Digi-Thane, a recognized smart city platform integrating G2C, B2C, and C2C services.

  • Established Signal Shalas & Platform Shalas for street children and built football stadiums for Muslim women in Mumbra to promote inclusivity.

As Principal Secretary, Water Supply & Sanitation Department, Maharashtra (Oct 2021 – July 2023), he played a key role in reviving the stalled Jal Jeevan Mission, ensuring tap water access across rural Maharashtra.

  • Fast-tracked work orders for 38,000+ rural water supply projects in just one year.
  • Focused on timely execution and monitoring, addressing delays in implementation.

Vice President & CEO, Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA)

As Vice President & CEO of MHADA, he has been at the forefront of Maharashtra’s affordable housing and urban redevelopment initiatives. Under his leadership, MHADA has planned nearly 4.5 lakh homes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). This includes the implementation of the largest AHP-PPP scheme at Ray Nagar, Solapur, aimed at constructing 30,000 houses. In Phase I, 15,000 houses have already been constructed and handed over to EWS beneficiaries by the Hon’ble Minister.

He has also driven the redevelopment of Mumbai’s cess buildings, focusing on revitalizing iconic neighborhoods like Kamathipura and GTB Nagar while ensuring better living conditions for residents. In an effort to increase MHADA’s housing stock, he has prioritized transparency and fairness in the lottery system for economically weaker sections, while also improving administrative efficiency by streamlining project approvals and enhancing citizen services. His tenure continues to reflect a commitment to affordable housing, sustainable urban transformation, and equitable development across Maharashtra.
