House Allotment Ceremony at Dahitane, North Solapur under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban)

1,452 Housing Units to be Distributed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Programme to be Held in the Presence of Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar

Solapur, August 15, 2025:

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) is an ambitious initiative of the Central and State Governments, aimed at ensuring that every common citizen in the country has access to their own home. Under this scheme, two housing projects located at Dahitane in North Solapur taluka of Solapur district—developed by Rashtratej Atal Kamgar Gruhnirman Cooperative Society Ltd. and Shri Somvanshiya Sahasrarjun Kshatriya Samaj Mahalaxmi Gruhnirman Society Ltd.—have been successfully completed.

A grand ceremony for the distribution of 1,452 housing units from these two projects has been scheduled on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at 11:30 AM, at Survey No. 92/2, Dahitane. The programme will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis.

On this occasion, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar will be present. Other dignitaries expected to attend include Guardian Minister of Solapur District and Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Jaykumar Gore; Labour Minister Akash Fundkar; Minister of State for Housing Pankaj Bhoyar; Chairman of Pune Housing and Area Development Board Shivaji Adhalrao Patil; along with Members of Parliament, MLAs, corporators, and local public representatives.

During this historic event, beneficiaries will be handed over possession letters and keys to their homes, fulfilling the long-cherished dream of homeownership for many families in Solapur city. This initiative is expected to further accelerate the overall development of the region.

The Rashtratej Atal Kamgar Gruhnirman Cooperative Society Ltd. project comprises 1,200 EWS housing units, with a total project cost of approximately ₹74.76 crore. The funding includes ₹12.00 crore from the State Government, ₹18.00 crore from the Central Government, ₹18.00 crore from the Construction Workers’ Welfare Fund, and ₹26.76 crore contributed by beneficiaries. So far, construction of 1,128 units has been completed, 792 units have received occupancy certificates, and applications for 336 units are under process.

The Shri Somvanshiya Sahasrarjun Kshatriya Samaj Mahalaxmi Gruhnirman Society Ltd. project includes 252 EWS housing units, with a total project cost of ₹17.64 crore. This comprises ₹2.52 crore from the State Government, ₹3.78 crore from the Central Government, and ₹11.34 crore from beneficiaries. In this project, finishing work for 220 units has been completed, 156 units have received occupancy certificates, and applications for 64 units are under process.

Both projects have been equipped with essential infrastructure such as water supply, drainage systems, and road development. Under PMAY (Component 3) and the Nagarotthan Maha Abhiyan, a total fund of ₹33.08 crore has been sanctioned for basic infrastructure at Dahitane. This includes 70% State Government grant (₹23.156 crore) and 30% beneficiary contribution (₹9.924 crore). The funds have been utilized for water pipelines, drainage systems, and road construction.
