16th Lokshahi Din To Be Held On April 13
Discussion and expeditious resolution of citizens’ grievances under the chairmanship of MHADA Vice President & CEO Shri Sanjeev Jaiswal.
Mumbai, April 10, 2026:
The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) will organize its 16th Lokshahi Din on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 12:00 PM onwards at the MHADA Headquarters, Bandra (East), in the 4th floor conference hall. The session will be chaired by Vice President and Chief Executive Officer Shri Sanjeev Jaiswal (IAS).
MHADA administration hereby appeals to citizens that, since January 2024, Lokshahi Din is being conducted on the second Monday of every month at the MHADA Headquarters, Bandra (East). Citizens are encouraged to actively participate in this initiative and avail themselves of the opportunity for timely redressal of their grievances. To date, 15 Lokshahi Din sessions have been successfully conducted under the chairmanship of Shri Sanjeev Jaiswal.
Under Lokshahi Din, complaints and applications received from citizens are deliberated upon directly and transparently in the presence of the concerned officials. This mechanism has facilitated the prompt disposal of long-pending matters, thereby ensuring accessible, transparent, and time-bound grievance redressal. The initiative has further strengthened transparency, accountability, and administrative responsiveness within MHADA. Prior to each Lokshahi Din, Shri Jaiswal also undertakes a review of the status of action taken on cases from previous sessions. Accordingly, Lokshahi Din has emerged as an effective bridge of trust between citizens and the administration.
MHADA administration further informs that, in order to participate in Lokshahi Din, complaints must be submitted in the prescribed format. Applicants are required to submit their applications in duplicate at least 15 days in advance. The prescribed format is available on MHADA’s official website: https://mhada.gov.in under the “Lokshahi Din” section.
The complaint/application must be of a personal nature. Cases that are sub judice, related to revenue/appeals, service matters, establishment issues, applications not submitted in the prescribed format, applications lacking requisite supporting documents, cases where a final reply has already been issued or is under process, and applications not of a personal nature shall not be entertained under Lokshahi Din. Applications not admissible under Lokshahi Din shall be forwarded to the concerned department within 8 days for necessary action, and a copy thereof shall also be shared with the applicant.
