The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) will hold its 22nd Lokshahi Din on Monday, October 12, 2026, at noon at its headquarters in Bandra East, Mumbai. The program will be chaired by MHADA Vice President and Chief Executive Officer IAS Sanjeev Jaiswal and will provide citizens with an opportunity to present eligible grievances directly to the administration.

Since January 2024, MHADA has organized Lokshahi Din on the second Monday of every month to improve public access to grievance resolution. The authority has successfully conducted 21 sessions so far, allowing citizens to discuss complaints openly with the concerned officials. The initiative has helped address pending cases and strengthen transparency, accountability, and public trust. Officials also review action taken on complaints submitted during previous sessions.

Citizens who wish to participate must submit their applications in the prescribed format in two copies at least 15 days before the session. The application form is available on the official MHADA website at under the Lokshahi Din section. Complaints must be personal in nature and include the required supporting documents.

Applications related to matters already before the courts, revenue appeals, service or establishment issues, incomplete submissions, and repeated complaints on matters that have already received a final response will not be accepted for the session. Applications that do not qualify will be forwarded to the relevant department for necessary action within eight days, with a copy sent to the applicant.

Through this monthly initiative, MHADA aims to make grievance handling more accessible and responsive, giving citizens a direct platform to raise eligible concerns and seek timely action from the administration.
