MHADA Calls for Technology, Quality and Human Values to Shape Maharashtra’s Housing Future
MHADA Vice President and Chief Executive Officer Shri Sanjeev Jaiswal said Maharashtra’s housing sector can move forward by combining modern technology, construction quality and a strong sense of human responsibility. Speaking at MHADA’s Engineers’ Day 2026 program in Bandra, Mumbai, he emphasized that engineers should use new technologies not only to improve efficiency but also to make housing safer, better and more comfortable for residents.
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, Shri Jaiswal highlighted MHADA’s role as more than a housing construction organization. He said the authority is closely connected with millions of families and plays an important role in building the future of Maharashtra. He encouraged engineers to adopt innovation and modern methods while preserving quality, empathy and human values in their work.
Shri Jaiswal also discussed the growing role of artificial intelligence in the engineering and housing sectors. While AI can analyze information and accelerate decision-making, he noted that human judgment, emotions and empathy remain important when decisions directly affect people’s lives. He called for a balanced approach in which technology supports human-centered development rather than replacing it.
He said the next seven to eight years will be an important period for MHADA and that engineers will have a key role in meeting the challenges of future housing development. He encouraged the engineering community to adapt to changing requirements, embrace innovative approaches and combine technical expertise with sensitivity toward beneficiaries.
MHADA Chief Engineer Shri Mahesh Jeswani congratulated engineers on Engineers’ Day and highlighted the contributions and legacy of Sir M. Visvesvaraya. Chief Engineer Shri Anil AnkalgI emphasized quality, speed and accuracy as important principles for engineering work and said a positive approach can further improve organizational efficiency.
Chief Engineer-1 Shri Dhirajkumar Pandirkar noted that MHADA’s construction practices have evolved significantly over time.
