Computerised Lottery for Sale of 943 Tenements by MHADA Nashik and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Boards Conducted Enthusiastically
Mumbai, 17 March 2026:
A computerised lottery for the sale of a total of 943 tenements, including 422 tenements in Nashik city and 521 tenements under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana projects at Nakshatrwadi, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, was conducted today by Shri Ranjan Thakare, Chairman of the Nashik Housing and Area Development Board of MHADA.
The lottery draw programme was held at Housing Bhavan, located at Gadkari Chowk, Nashik, which serves as the office of the Nashik Housing and Area Development Board. On this occasion, Shri Ranjan Thakare stated that 496 applications were received for 422 tenements under the Nashik Board, while 283 applications were received for 521 tenements under the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Board.
He further stated that the strong response from citizens to both lotteries reflects the growing demand for affordable housing. Through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), the housing needs of economically weaker sections are being addressed while also upholding social responsibility. Shri Thakare emphasized that MHADA continues to fulfil its responsibility towards society through such initiatives.
The Nashik Housing and Area Development Board is planning to make 1,000 additional tenements available in Nashik city in the near future. The Board is also actively pursuing the acquisition of houses under the 20 percent inclusive housing scheme. Additionally, housing projects are being planned by the Nashik Board in Dhule, Jalgaon, Shrirampur, Nandurbar and Ahilyanagar.
Shri Thakare also informed that over the past year, the Nashik and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Boards have sold more than 3,000 tenements through lotteries, thereby providing housing to common citizens.
On this occasion, Chief Officer of Nashik Board Shri Shivkumar Awalkanthe joined via video conferencing, while Chief Officer of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Board Shri Vaibhav Kedare, Executive Engineer Vaishali Pawar, Smt. Jadhav, and Estate Manager Shri Nitin Kulthe were present.
The lottery conducted today included 402 tenements for lower and middle income groups located at Chunchale, Adgaon, Pathardi, Makhmalabad and Satpur in Nashik city, along with 19 tenements and 2 plots at Mhasrul and Panchak. Under the jurisdiction of the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Board, 521 tenements for economically weaker sections under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) were made available for sale.
As per the requests of applicants, the last date for application submission was extended twice due to certain technical issues and the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct for elections.
