Mumbai, November 25, 2025: MHADA Public Hearing was organized today by Mumbai Suburban Guardian Minister and Minister for Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Hon. Shri Mangal Prabhat Lodha, to address the complaints of applicants related to Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA). In this public hearing, complaints of around 56 applicants from Shivdi, Worli, Byculla, Malabar Hill, and Mumbadevi Assembly constituencies were heard. After listening to their issues, Shri Lodha instructed the concerned officials to resolve the complaints immediately.

The hearing was held at MHADA’s headquarters in Bandra (East). Present on the occasion were MHADA Vice President & Chief Executive Officer Shri Sanjiv Jaiswal (IAS), Chief Officer of Mumbai Building Repair and Reconstruction Board Shri Milind Shambharkar (IAS), Chief Officer of Mumbai Board Shri Milind Borikar (IAS), Joint Chief Officer of Mumbai Building Repair and Reconstruction Board Shri Umesh Wagh, along with Deputy Chief Engineers, Deputy Chief Officers, Executive Engineers, Estate Managers, and other MHADA officials.

The complaints included various issues such as repairs of cess-based buildings, issuance of No Objection Certificates for redevelopment of such buildings, eligibility determination of tenants/residents, issues related to transit camps, allotment of tenements, and allotment of rehabilitation tenements in BDD Chawl redevelopment.
