MHADA Reopens Lottery for 634 Unsold Tathawade Homes, Eases Eligibility Rules Ahead of August 25 Draw

Pune, Maharashtra: The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has announced a fresh lottery for 634 unsold homes in the second phase of its Tathawade Housing Project under the Pune Board. The new lottery process will begin on Monday, with the final computerized draw scheduled for August 25.

The decision comes after a limited response to the earlier lottery, where 634 out of 792 apartments remained unsold. To attract more buyers, the Pune Board has relaxed the income eligibility criteria, allowing applicants from all income categories to apply for the available homes.

The project offers 1 BHK apartments priced at around ₹46 lakh and 2 BHK apartments priced at approximately ₹64.5 lakh. Registration, application submission, and acceptance will begin on Monday, while the pre-lottery verification process will continue until August 23, followed by the lottery on August 25.

The Tathawade Housing Project was developed on land acquired by the Pune Board, with more than 1,500 homes planned in two phases. While the first phase witnessed successful allotments, the second phase faced lower demand, prompting MHADA to reopen the sale with more flexible eligibility conditions.

Through this revised lottery, MHADA aims to improve occupancy in the project and provide a wider section of homebuyers with an opportunity to own affordable housing in the rapidly developing Tathawade area.
