Public Darbar Day by Mumbai Building Repairs Board

In an effort to strengthen grievance redressal for citizens through formal government channels—similar to the Lokshahi Din previously conducted at MHADA headquarters—the Mumbai Building Repairs and Reconstruction Board (MBRRB) will organize a Janata Darbar on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.

This citizen-first initiative is part of the 100-day action plan being implemented across departments, as per the vision of Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis and on the advice of Deputy Chief Minister and Housing Minister Mr. Eknath Shinde. A key element of this plan is ensuring timely and transparent resolution of public complaints. Following these priorities, Mr. Sanjeev Jaiswal, IAS, Vice President and CEO of MHADA, has instructed every board to actively conduct Janata Darbars to engage directly with the public.

The core purpose of the upcoming session is to promptly address concerns raised by residents living in cessed buildings and transit accommodations across Mumbai and its suburban areas, which are managed under the MBRRB’s jurisdiction.

The event will be chaired by Mr. Milind Shambharkar, IAS, Chief Officer of MBRRB, and will be held at Bharat Ratna Gulzarilal Nanda Hall, located on the third floor of MHADA Headquarters, Bandra East. Citizens from eligible areas are encouraged to attend and share their concerns face-to-face. Attendees are advised to bring supporting documents, applications, and written representations to help officials respond efficiently and resolve issues on the spot.
