Mumbai, April 22, 2025 – Shri Sanjeev Jaiswal, IAS, Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of MHADA, conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing 100-Day Action Plan at the MHADA Headquarters and issued clear instructions to ensure timely progress across departments.
During the session, Mr. Jaiswal emphasized the need for MHADA offices to deliver services to citizens in a swift, accessible, and transparent manner. He urged officials to eliminate delays caused by internal procedures and remain focused on efficient public service. Department heads shared updates and progress reports on tasks under their purview.
The meeting also covered the development of a Citizen Facilitation Centre at MHADA Headquarters, which includes provisions for streamlined visitor access and enhanced internal operations. Ongoing digital transformation initiatives—such as updated administrative tools and planning systems—were reviewed, with Mr. Jaiswal calling for speedy implementation and public rollout.
A live demonstration showcased improvements to MHADA’s official website, including the integration of a Chatbot system designed to assist citizens around the clock. Mr. Jaiswal remarked that these technological enhancements would simplify access to MHADA services and improve user experience.
The progress of grievance redressal efforts, especially those collected during Lokshahi Din, was also assessed. Although most issues have been resolved, six cases remain open. Mr. Jaiswal directed that these be closed promptly and without unnecessary delays.
Further discussions included updates on the Master List distribution and a new MIS system created to streamline lease renewal agreements. The Mumbai Building Repairs and Reconstruction Board presented its status report on work being undertaken under Sections 91A and 79A/B. Mr. Jaiswal also reviewed land acquisition progress in Dadar, Mahim, and Prabhadevi.
Major redevelopment projects—such as Abhyudayanagar, Gandhinagar, Aaram Nagar, Patra Chawl, and BDD Chawls—were evaluated, alongside housing developments for police personnel. Mr. Jaiswal instructed that the tender process begin immediately for redevelopment projects in Bandra Reclamation, Adarsh Nagar, and Worli colonies, as per the State Cabinet’s recent decisions.
The review was held in alignment with the broader administrative priorities set by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis and Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Housing Minister Shri Eknath Shinde, aimed at strengthening public service delivery and accelerating state-level infrastructure development.
The session concluded with discussions on various implementation and administrative matters. Mr. Jaiswal expressed confidence that MHADA’s efforts under the 100-Day Action Plan will lead to more effective housing services and faster project execution across Maharashtra.
