MHADA Lottery: 2,640 Mumbai Homes Allotted Through Computerized Draw

Mumbai: The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has announced the results of its Mumbai Board housing lottery with 2,640 homes allotted to successful applicants across various housing schemes. The computerized draw was conducted in the presence of Mumbai Suburban Guardian Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha and Minister of State for Housing Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar.

During the event, Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha emphasized the need for strict action against developers who fail to hand over houses reserved for MHADA despite benefiting from additional development rights. He said stronger monitoring is necessary to ensure that reserved .

Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar said MHADA continues to play an important role in helping ordinary citizens fulfill their dream of owning a home in Mumbai. MHADA Vice Chairman Sanjeev Jaiswal highlighted the authority's larger housing plans, stating that under the proposed MMR Growth Hub initiative, the target is to develop 30 lakh homes, including 7.5 lakh houses through MHADA. He also noted that group redevelopment work is progressing across approximately 925 acres in Mumbai, with completion targeted over seven years.

Jaiswal further assured applicants who were not successful in the latest lottery that they would have additional opportunities, with another Mumbai housing lottery expected to be announced in January or February next year.

Applicants can check their MHADA lottery status through the official MHADA website by visiting the Lottery Results section, selecting the relevant regional board, and entering their application number. Successful applicants can then proceed with the subsequent stages of the home allotment process according to MHADA's schedule.

The latest lottery reflects MHADA's continued efforts to expand affordable housing opportunities in Mumbai while using transparent computerized systems to make the allotment process accessible and efficient for citizens.
